However, it strikes me that the real issue is not the upper limit but the 'two signatures' crap. It is surely far more important to make it easier to get an abortion on demand; if that is coupled with a reduction in time limit, then so be it.Mark Wadsworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07733511175178098449noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12147812.post-88755993032933876372008-02-26T11:52:00.000+00:002008-02-26T11:52:00.000+00:00The line has to be drawn somewhere, the limit of v...The line has to be drawn somewhere, the limit of viability makes sense. It's 21 or 24 weeks. Let's face it - it's not a problem for someone capable of abstract thought: 6 weeks, no period. Probably Pregnant. Buy test. HOLY SHIT! blue line. Decide what to do. Get appointment with Doctor - 1 more week. Get appointment at clinic - couple more weeks. 10 weeks, tops.

You'd think cameron had allied himself with the Christian Right or something, Jeez!Jackarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04477130724830922566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12147812.post-11327377972974288982008-02-25T16:19:00.000+00:002008-02-25T16:19:00.000+00:00I know he's not advocating banning it, but he stil...I know he's not advocating banning it, but he still wants to reduce the limit by three weeks which I fundamentally disagree with.

The laws are already biased against women by needing two signatures and doctors being able to refuse treatment.

I object hugely to Cameron and any other MP voting for this, but Cameron is the one saying it loud and proud and hitting my radar.Trixyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02015060663707102784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12147812.post-66148989172264834702008-02-25T15:36:00.000+00:002008-02-25T15:36:00.000+00:00Um... Many people, me included feel that, if medical science can let a baby survive, it shouldn't be killing it. A reduction from 24 weeks reflects this.

I agree Nad is Mad, but don't try to tar Cameron with the same brush. To do so discredits your argument. We don't want to import tone of this debate from America.Jackarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04477130724830922566noreply@blogger.com
